Job Description:
Technology integrator is looking for a Field Network and Desktop Systems Engineer in New York City.
Required Skills:
Previous experience working in LAN/WAN environments. Must be willing to travel throughout New York City, and Long Island City. Must be detail orientated; a team player; and have excellent communication skills. Candidates must also be willing to work occasional nights and weekend and participate in an on-call support rotation.
Candidates should have experience will all Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating systems (XP/2000/2003), and should be familiar with basic network fundamentals and protocols (such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS), as well as Active Directory, Group Policy, and Profile Management. Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills are a must. Experience with other Microsoft Server Platforms (such as Exchange, SQL Server and SharePoint) are a very strong plus.
Responsibilities:
Candidates must be well-organized. Must be able to help account executives identify new opportunities. Candidate must stay abreast of new technologies and industry news. For each customer visit, on-site work log forms must be filled out, signed by the client and added to service database. The Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining current industry certifications and passing one new certification per quarter.
Certifications:
Candidates with Microsoft based certifications are preferred, particularly Windows 2000, 2003 and XP internals, or MCSE on Windows 2003.
